We decided to throw an audition in for CBC's Cover Me Canada everyones been talking about. We wanted to do something very honest & Canadian. We packed up the van with guitars and some mobile recording gear and headed up north. The plan was to shoot the video during the sunset (sundown, get it hahah)
just having a good ole jam of Gordon Lightfoot's Sundown on the beach but the weather just didnt cooperate. Instead we got something that for us was so cool to be part of. One of the craziest storms we have ever witnessed rolled in, in minutes and seconds after we finished our last note the skies opened up unleashed on us and our thousands of dollars of borrowed microphones we recorded with (Don't worry folks who lent them to us we got them under the tent in time) What your hearing is just one take, no editing, no studio magic just four guys charged with fear and excitement as we fight the urge to pack up and run for cover and just enjoy the Jam, the good friends & this beautiful country we live in!
